NEW YORK -- Brian Cashman says he regrets the words he used in an angry response to Alex Rodriguezs injury update on Twitter, but the New York Yankees general manager insists the team wants a healthy A-Rod back at third base as soon as possible. Cashman says owner Hal Steinbrenner told him he spoke with Rodriguez on Wednesday in Tampa, Fla., and reiterated that injury information should be announced by the team, not individual players on social media. Just before the first pitch of New Yorks game Wednesday night against Texas, Yankees spokesman Jason Zillo told reporters that Rodriguez called Cashman around 5:30 p.m., and spoke with the GM and team president Randy Levine. Zillo says they spoke for nearly 30 minutes and everyone "fully understands the protocol and processes in place." "It was a constructive, healthy conversation. Everybody is on the same page and were all going to communicate and work together to get Alex back as quickly as possible," Zillo said. "Theyre all back on track." Earlier in the day, Cashman said Rodriguez did not get back to him after he tried to contact the slugger Tuesday night. Rodriguez tweeted Tuesday evening that his hip surgeon had cleared him to play in rehabilitation games, a move that angered Cashman because the star third baseman has not been cleared by team doctors yet. Cashman told ESPNNewYork.com that "Alex should just shut ... up," punctuating his comment with a profanity. Shoes Wholesale China Market .Y. -- Kristen Gillman rallied to win the U. The 13th match-up of the Round of 32 sees Claude Giroux go no-look, while Evgeni Malkin does the hard work to set up a gift for a teammate. Its not just that Giroux goes no-look, its that its one of the greatest blind shots youre likely to see. Picking a wild point shot rebound off the end boards, Giroux picks up the disc and gets sent to the ice by David Savard. While falling, though, he unleashes one heck of a shot. Falling, he lifts a backhander behind his back towards the net... and roofs it. Its not even like Curtis McElhinney doesnt expect the shot, Giroux just beats him high glove without even looking. Malkinn counters one great shot with a 200-foot effort.dddddddddddd. Winding up from behind his own net, Malkin breaks out and proceeds to start dancing through the entire Montreal Canadiens team. There is actually only one skater on the ice that Malkin doesnt skate through or around and hes just a spectator. By the time Raphael Diaz and Francis Bouillon finally haul him down, hes shoveled a pass cross-crease to James Neal, who jukes once and slides the puck past Carey Price.
